Its wider 13.25 mm diameter, specialized short break/jump taper, and Triple-Layer Carbon Fiber core are designed to deliver high energy transfer while maintaining excellent cueball control.
This shaft is made specifically for McDermott cues with a 3/8"-10 joint and features a black collar.

At the tip, the i-1 Big Boy uses a Navigator Break Impact hybrid phenolic tip. Unlike conventional phenolic break tips that emphasize power at the expense of control, the hybrid construction is designed to provide strong impact performance together with improved cueball control, making it well suited for both breaking and jumping.
McDermott’s patented Tenon Tip Technology transfers energy from the tip directly into the carbon fiber core.
