Collection and Use of Information
We collect two kinds of information: (a) information that can be used to identify or contact a single person; and (b) information that does not personally identify a single person, which we automatically collect when people visit our web-site or that you provide us.
Personally Identifiable Information
Below are some examples of the types of personal information Billiard City may collect and how we may use it:
- You may provide your name, mail/shipping address, email address, contact preferences, payment information and phone number (or someone else’s name, address, e-mail, or phone number when buying and sending product to them) when create an account with us, make a purchase, contact us via any customer service method.
- You may provide certain demographic information about yourself (e.g., age, gender, purchase preference, usage frequency, etc.) when participating in a survey, poll or joining a forum.
- You may post a general comment or recommendation on our website.
Certain information may not be personally identifiable when standing alone (e.g., your age), but may become so when combined with other information (e.g., your age and name). Whether or not you provide this information is your choice; however, in many instances this type of information is required to participate in the particular activity, receive a benefit we may offer, or gain access to certain content on our website.
We do not generally disclose your Personal Information to unaffiliated third parties without your prior consent, although we do disclose information to third parties in some circumstances as described below under “Disclosure to Third Parties”.
Billiard City will use your personal information as necessary to process your transactions with us. We may use your personal information to later contact you for a variety of reasons, such as customer service, providing you promotional information for our products or upcoming events, or to communicate with you about content or other information you have posted or shared with us via our website. We may also use personal information for internal purposes such as auditing, data analysis, and research to improve Billiard City’s products, services, and customer communications.
Non-Personally Identifiable Information
We consider non-personally identifiable information to be any information that does not personally identify you. Non-personally identifiable information can include certain personally identifiable information that has been de-identified; that is, information that has been rendered anonymous. We obtain non-personally identifiable information about you from information that you provide us, either separately or together with your personally identifiable information. We also automatically collect certain non-personally identifiable information from you when you access our website. We specify that data sourced from these third parties must be legitimately obtained. Note that this information may be governed by the privacy statement of the third party. We may receive various types of information, including identification information, contact information, and transactional information from our service providers and vendors.
We receive information from sources assisting us with (i) updating, enhancing, improving and/or analyzing our records or data; (ii) performing marketing and research services; or (iii) detecting fraud or theft. We may also acquire information about you from third parties with whom we have a relationship or otherwise contract with to obtain such information. In the event we acquire a business, we may receive information from the seller of such business. Additionally, we may receive information from various consumer reporting agencies and related service providers.
When you call our customer service team, we record calls for quality assurance and operational optimization purposes.
Disclosure to Third Parties
Billiard City may from time to time make certain personal information available to strategic partners that work with Billiard City to provide products and services, or that help Billiard City market to customers: third party businesses and service providers that assist with our business operations, such as shipping vendors, billing or other payment vendors, payment card processors, IT services, customer service, email and text delivery services, marketing and research vendors and various companies that work with us to improve or provide our products and services and our data integrity including advertising networks and data analytics providers. While we are not involved in the day-to-day operations of such businesses and providers, our agreements generally obligate them to use reasonable methods to keep any Personal Information safe and secure, and not use such Personal Information for purposes other than providing their applicable services. However, even if a third party business or service provider is performing business operations on our behalf, if you have an independent relationship with such third party business or service provider, its use of your information may be governed by its independent relationship with you, and we are not responsible for such use.
None of your personal information, including e-mail address, however, will be sold to any other company; except, in the event of a reorganization, merger, sale, change in corporate control, acquisition, insolvency, bankruptcy we may sell or otherwise transfer any and all personal information we collect to the relevant third-party or third-parties.
Billiard City reserves the right to disclose any personal information about you if we are required to do so by law, with respect to copyright and other intellectual property infringement claims, or if we believe that such action is necessary to: (a) fulfill a government request; (b) conform with the requirements of the law or legal process; (c) protect or defend our legal rights or property, our website, or other users; or (d) in an emergency to protect the health and safety of our website's users or the general public.
Website Optimization Services
Billiard City shares data with Google Analytics to understand and optimize website performance and enhance site usability for our customers. This tool run in the background of our site analyzing site usage information and then returning reports to us through an encrypted connection. They are required to maintain data securely and confidentially and are not permitted to share data collected with parties other than Billiard City. Credit card or password data is not collected through Google Analytics. In addition, Google Analytics may associate and group session visits to our website from various browsers and devices.
Your California Privacy Rights
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), enacted in 2018, creates new consumer rights relating to the access to, deletion of, and sharing of personal information that is collected by businesses.
A consumer has the right to request that a business delete any personal information about the consumer which the business has collected from the consumer.
A consumer has the right to request that a business that collects personal information about the consumer disclose to the consumer the following:
(1) The categories of personal information it has collected about that consumer.
(2) The categories of sources from which the personal information is collected.
(3) The business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling personal information.
(4) The categories of third parties with whom the business shares personal information.
(5) The specific pieces of personal information it has collected about that consumer.
A business may provide personal information to a consumer at any time, but is required to provide personal information to a consumer more than twice in a 12-month period.
Billiard City does not and will not “sell” your personal information to third parties, as that term is currently interpreted with respect to the CCPA. This includes information pertaining to minors under 16.
You may submit your request for information required to be disclosed to our email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will respond to you within 45 days of receiving a verifiable request from you.
For Nevada residents, please note that we do not sell personal information as defined by Nevada law (Nevada Revised Statutes, Chapter 603A, Section 1.6). You can submit a request to us at email@example.com regarding the sale of such information.
The features, programs, promotions and other aspects of our website requiring the submission of personally identifiable information are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian of a child under the age of 13 and believe they have disclosed personally identifiable information to us please contact us at the address set forth below. A parent or guardian of a child under the age of 13 may review and request deletion of such child's personally identifiable information as well as prohibit the use thereof.
Keeping Your Information Secure
We maintain reasonable and appropriate security measures to protect your electronic personal information stored on our systems. We do not store your credit card information on our system; it is only used to process your transaction.
