Championship Invitational Backed Billiard Cloth is a traditional woolen billiard fabric designed for dependable performance, durability, and controlled play. Invitational is one of the most popular fabrics in the Championship cloth line and is well suited for home tables, commercial rooms, leagues, coin-operated tables, and recreational play.
The cloth is made from a 75% wool / 25% nylon blend, giving it the familiar playing characteristics of woolen billiard cloth while adding durability for extended use.
The backed construction adds an additional layer of support beneath the playing surface. This helps the cloth feel more substantial, improves stability during installation, and can make the fabric more forgiving over the slate and seams. The backing also contributes to durability in high-use environments and helps the cloth maintain a more uniform surface over time.
Unlike the Teflon-treated Invitational version, this backed version does not have a Teflon coating. It is designed for players and table owners who prefer the traditional feel and performance of Championship Invitational cloth without an added stain-repellent treatment.

Each set is pre-cut for the selected table size and includes the bed cloth plus six matching pre-cut rail pieces. Sizes are available for 7 ft, 8 ft, 8 ft Oversized, 9 ft and 10 ft tables.
For care, Championship recommends brushing and vacuuming the cloth regularly to remove dust, chalk, and lint. The under-rail area should be cleaned with a soft-bristled tapered brush.
For installation, install the cloth face up. The playing face is identified by a black or yellow line at the edge of the cloth.
